Dear traveller,
a holiday in our Singharaja Garden AGRO ECO Lodge provides you with plenty of opportunities for impressive experiences and encounters. Our 3-hectare property is on the edge of the unique Singharaja rainforest, which is known throughout the world for its enormous biodiversity as well as its large number of endemic species. Singharaja rainforest is also a World Heritage Site. Singharaja Garden is not over-developed for tourists, which means that you will spend your holiday in a tropical paradise with friendly and simple, but traditional people.
We have been involved in development work for Sri Lanka since 2002 and are happy to accept responsibility in this country which is home to so many different cultures.
Due to past crises, tourism in Sri Lanka is still restrained and, after a short peak phase in the years 2012-2018, is expected to develop back to this level. It is a great opportunity for the economically shaken country and environmental risks are of secondary importance.
With your stay in our lodge you promote social justice, contribute to environmentally sustainable tourism and support the preservation of local culture in our region.
We would like to describe some of our contributions towards ecological compatibility and give you some practical tips for your stay in Sri Lanka. Please don’t regard these as compulsory measures. Our wish is for you to enjoy your holiday consciously and in an easy-going manner, as this will not only benefit you but will also benefit your host country in many ways.
